Not been in for a good number of years now. lovely atmosphere and nice seating areas. went with a couple of friends and none of us could believe the portion sizes! they were amazing. food looked lovely and fresh and was brought in very good time. will definitely go there again. highly recommended.
Great old pub in the centre of the town. great pint of omen porter! we'll be back soon.
I went for a birthday roast meal, it's a lovely place but sadly i didn't enjoy my roast lunch. the staff however were outstanding. it's a pretty place to go quite quaint.
Toby carvery was full so we came into town for a roast, couldn7have picked a better spot. for ordering the last chicken and lamb, the meat was cooked perfectly, not over done, and considering my friend is a chef that's high praise. didnt expect to get a half a chicken and lamb on the bone but found we could have just ordered off the bone. only criticism is the veg can be seasoned more, mash with more butter, asked if we want gravy on the side, it's ok but i enjoy pouring my own gravy. definitely a great part of our day. look forward to another one.
Excellent city centre pub off of the beaten track which serves quality food, offers friendly service, and has a good selection of beers, ciders, wine, and spirits. the 3 nuns, an everards pub, that has kept the traditional pub atmosphere and combined with the friendly service makes it an inviting and welcoming pub. there are tables outside, several of them under cover for inclement weather for those wishing to brave the elements and plenty of seating indoors for those less daring. as a true brewery pub, the 3 nuns outperforms others for those looking for a good pub experience.
