Best friendly pub in the area great food & atmosphere the staff are great can definitely recommend.

Good food and lovely staff. came here and spent 3 hours with some old school friends i hadn’t seen for 30 years. staff were attentive but relaxed - absolutely perfect.

Ok sunday lunch. staff started to take plates before asking if we had finished? also ordered a side dish as i wasn't sure what vegetables would be with the meal and ended up with double the amount and felt awkward sending it back. i have visited a few times before and had better service and food, so hopefully this is a one off.

One of the best pub meals i have had in a long time. the staff were so helpful and accommodating. nothing was too much trouble. they are all a credit to the business. the food was stonking, the wheatfsheaf smokies were gorgeous and a revelation. the beer is well kept with a good selection. dog friendly is an understatement - bailey says thanks for all the strokes :) i know i seem to be gushing but i make no apologies for it great evening - thank you

For a pub we found by accident, this was an excellent way to finish off our day. we literally pulled up and walked in, greeted as if we were regulars. there was a great atmosphere in there. got the impression all the staff liked working there and the service was excellent. good selection of ales. decent menu’s including the specials. highly recommend the salmon and prawn kebab and the stilton burger. will definitely go there again, next time i am in the area.
