East goscote fish bar

Fantastic little gem of cafe open 12 to 2 apart from Wednesday. Good place for decent coffee and lunch. Staff very tentative and friendly.

Great fish, portions, value and service!

Great service, large portions and great price. Order food to cook (chicken , cod etc) on arrival and be prepared to wait at busy times. It's well worth it. Lovely to see the staff chatting with the regulars, this makes for a nice friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Great fish, kebabs are nice too. If you need something to share ask for a sharer box 👍

3 stars for atmosphere it is a takeaway fish and chip shop. It also sells kebabs, burgers, pies etc. At first you may think it's quite expensive but the portions are huge I bought two small cod in batter and one portion of chips, there was enough chips for four people and I'm afraid we two were unable to finish them, perhaps I'll order two "cones" of chips next time to avoid waste! The staff were friendly and helpful but would only accept cash, directing those with cards only to a nearby cash machine. I had to wait for my fish and chips to cook about 10 to 15 minutes but was worth the wait for the red hot fresh fish and chips.
