Specialized Chelmsford

What can i say......went in for advice on wheels and came away with sound advice and a superb set of rims!! i really like the no nonsense approach they have and their honesty. i'm not the slimmest or lightest of blokes but rather than sell me rims that were a lot more expensive, they told me how unsuitable these other wheels would be for my weight and offered an alternative. the result is a very happy customer and someone who hasn't ridden for 8 weeks taking 13 seconds off a pr!! you can shop around on the internet for amazing deals but you can't put a price on the knowledge and experience that you get from an actual shop. chapeau chelmsford.

The staff in chelmsford branch are always helpful, professional, knowledgeable, kind, polite and don't hurry you when discussing a new steed or just general enquiries. luke, ian and harry make you feel welcome and always willing to answers questions on the phone and email. yesterday as arranged the same morning by email i returned one of our new bikes to the colchester store. after 10 miles cycling a grinding sound coming from the chain. ( it was the rear hub) on walking in to the store my wife and i weren't greeted by any of the three men. there were not any other customers in the shop. i have received more of a welcome walking into a greasy spoon cafe. after being told that we'd have to wait for an hour ( it was arranged that we would take it in any time that day). nick said he would do us a favour and find a fitter who looked at the problem and we were told the bike would have to go back to manufacturers to be repaired. we looked in silence at our new bike. we weren't offered an apology, a new bike or a refund! on visiting chelmsford this morning after a phone call, harry sorted the problem out immediately and offered us a new bike to replace the faulty one. we felt very welcome in the store. why didn't colchester offer such assistance and make us feel at ease, even happy with the experience of buying two lovely new ebikes!? it is baffling and sad.

Had my trek road bike serviced here recently and the service was exceptional. the mechanic knows exactly what he’s doing and went above and beyond to make sure my bike was good as new. a* from me 👍

I went to get my sit bones measured for a new saddle. harry was extremely helpful and very professional. the machine used only took a few minutes and was much more accurate than me attempting to do this at home. thanks to harry i now have a new very comfortable saddle with a very kind gesture of 10% off too. i highly recommend this store and will be returning for future purchases.
