Samphire Restaurant @ The County Hotel

Food: I only had a Ceasar salad, but it was nothing special. The chicken was dry and the salad was too heavy on the dressing. Service: The bartender was very friendly and accommodating, but the food (two salads) took almost 30 minutes to arrive when we were the only guests. Locale: Cute hotel with outdoor seating.

Came today and had a wonderful afternoon tea with my Mum & Nan. I cannot speak highly enough of the amazing staff- so friendly, accommodating and kind. They truly made it. The food was delicious too. Cannot wait to come back! ☺️

Afternoon tea was amazing for nans Birthday. Staff were amazing and attentive and Jake helped sort out the bill! Lovely will return and recommend! Lovely decor and atmosphere! We also had a lot of dietary requirements which they filled and was very helpful with! Thank you !

Enjoyed a family dinner here one evening. The restaurant was quiet but the hotel had a number of functions on. We were warned that the food might be slow to come out due to the functions but we didn't notice any obvious delay. Due to the layout of the restaurant it had a private dining vibe although the staff were really attentive and we had no issues with service. The food was excellent and very well presented. The menu is varied with options of wood pigeon, soup and carpaccio to start which we all really enjoyed. I was very pleased with my seabass main which was surprisingly meaty. Overall a nice meal and evening out, worth a try even if it doesn't seem like the most obvious choice!
