The in store experience was very good. Stanley in the Chelmsford store was delightful, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Up to this point I was very impressed and we have ordered our chosen mattress. My one complaint however is that, two days later I tried to get answers to a minor query, the phones were not answered at the store, customer services took several minutes to get passed the automated button pressing and then after more time listening to music I was told by an automated American voice that I was number 97 (yes 97 not a typo) in the queue. This is not customer service. It is such a shame because people like Stanley, who was a perfect salesperson, deserves better backup from head office. I hope this does not bode ill for my forth coming delivery. Follow up on delivery. Never did receive my "2 hour time slot" phone call. Phoned shop - they couldn't help. Got a landline phone number for warehouse - waited for them to answer for 15 minutes. This girl was helpful. Eventually got a call from the driver who said " be with you in 10 minutes" Two rather grumpy gentlemen (loose term) delivered mattress. I asked them to take old mattress downstairs as a charity was collecting it soon. They said grumpily "not supposed to but we will" If they had been a bit more pleasant with maybe a smile or two they would have got a tip but their overall attitude made me think better of it. Some training in people skills wouldn't go amiss.
