Riverside Inn

Tiny bit of a trek from the city centre but the rooms were really nice, loved the style of them! We stopped for a drink before we went up to our room and it was a lovely atmosphere in the pub as well!

I booked a room to stay whilst visiting friends in Chelmsford. What a beautiful room, well designed, amazing character and super clean. Check in was easy and then you have 24 hour access to your room , even when bar closes. Would recommend and I will definitely be back when I return to the Uk

One of the very best pubs in the centre of Chelmsford with a great offering of drinks and a really great menu. The beer garden is very large and is right by the River Chelmer. I highly recommend this pub / restaurant 👌

Great atmosphere and drinks but the food quality has deteriorated since the menu changed late summer 2023. Hummus starter came with bread, garlic bread, balsamic dip and apple covered in cinnamon... all delicious but a strange mix. Fish and chips was not half as fresh as it used to be. The batter is no longer crunchy and the chips were fries... Nobody wants fries with their battered fish. Please reconsider your menu, this was my favourite pub in Chelmsford!

3 of us had lunch. What a lovely experience. The pub has a nice relaxed feel to It and the food was delicious. Staff were so lovely and helpfull. Worth a visit. Just go you won't be disappointed.
