Fish & Chips @ Weston Grove

Always been the best fish n chips in Chester, and probably still is! But lately the consistency of the quality can lack, some days small fish others the chips seem to have been sat around or heated back up and differences in the mushy pea and curry sauce seasoning

Me and my wife went for lunch, the customer service was brilliant, we were greeted and served by James, really friendly and the food was absolutely fantastic… can’t fault it. Definitely try The katsu chicken, Highly recommended.

The short diversion in my long journey yesterday was well worth it. Chips were cooked to perfection, dry and crisp as they should be. The batter on the fish was crisp all round and not too thick, the fish inside being cooked to perfection. Both the batter and the fish were very tasty. Mushy peas were not too salty or sweet, and a good consistency, not runny or a solid blob. Probably the best fish and chips I have had this year! I will be calling in again the next time I am in north Wales.

Chips and fish decent, homemade Tartare lovely too. The fishcake and Yorkshire Caviar Fritter weren't nice at all. The staff were lovely, they even had a little play fish shop set up for kids which was really good as my son gets easily bored when waiting around. I'd go again, but would only get the fish and chips.
