We had a great experience this year. we seemed to be in a quieter area and the room was clean and smelled great. last year we were in a different room and it wasn't so great. not enough to complain about but... i think it maybe depends when you come here.
Loved the location, rooms were nice, coffee machine, and galaxy hot choc, kitkats in the coffee mugs. bathroom could have been cleaner, and didn't smell fresh, but otherwise had a lovely stay.
Exactly what you expect and want from a travelodge everything you need at a reasonable price. it isn't the hilton and it isn't trying to be so remember that when you book. the room was clean and tidy as was the reception and bar area, the girl who booked us in was helpful and polite.the location is fantastic for exploring chester. my only complaint would be the air conditioning unit was too noisy to be able to sleep with it on otherwise this would have been five stars.
Just spent 3 nights here. 2 adults and a toddler. excellent value for money. we didn't make use of the bar or the restaurant as we were busy out and about but what interaction we had with staff was positive. the hotel is central to everything that's going on but still quiet enough to enjoy. the room was very clean and a lot more spacious than i had imagined considering there were 4 beds in it. there isn't any parking available however we did manage to use their blue badge bay at the rear of the hotel. chester is a beautiful city so would recommend this hotel to stay for your visit.
Having not stayed in a travelodge for quite a few years this one exceeded my expectations. booked to stay for two nights but only stayed for one due to an early flight. very quiet apart from the heating system waking me up during the night. if i had stayed the second night i would have turned it off. staff were really friendly and helpful, no towels in room when i checked in but soon rectified. no shower gel when i went to take a shower but they did bring me some once requested. walking distance to the centre of chester and to the train station if able bodied. ideal location to visit my son who is at university in chester. will definitely stay again.
