Chester City Walls

A 2 mile walk around Chester city walls. The walls are almost complete. Start at the Roman gardens & follow the walls past the cathedral, Charles I tower, the race course, castle & back to the Roman gardens. Wonderful Victorian clock tower.

Lovely hour long walk round. Such beautiful views and little history lessons along the pathway. Really lovely building such as the cathedral. Would do it again when back in the area.

Lovely and beautiful historical walks along the walls and riverside in the oldest part of Chester. Highly recommended to stay a few days in this ancient city as there are lot to explore!

We loved walking the wall's every morning & evening while staying in chester citycentre. Wonderful, beautiful & relaxing with lots see. Really romantic & quiet to walk in evening with your partner ☺️.

The walls surround the city, providing you with beautiful views of the spectacular city. It is approximately a 2 mile walk on uneven surfaces that include climbing stairs. I wouldn't recommend for anyone with mobility issues.
