Really nice park between the river dee and the city, there's a smashing children's train ride and only £2 pp, currently there is an observation fertis wheel 🎡 in the park however this is £20 for a family of 4 or £7 per adult. the park also has a cafe. if you take peanuts in their shells to the park the squirrels will take them from your hand. at the western edge of the park is the church of st john the baptist which is worth a look as its origins date back to 689ad
One of the hidden or not so hidden gems of chester. whilst the river and the walls take precedent the tranquil park filled with monuments and numerous squirrels is a great way to spend lunch or to escape the busy waterfront. they do have events on here throughout the year so well worth looking out for them. take the time to visit and relax!
Beautiful place to visit with the hole family. love the information about the different trees and plants there. loads of wildlife. there is a very nice coffee shop and the little train is fun to go on. the play area is good.
A new discovery for me and such a lovely park to visit. there's plenty to look at and great for families too. there is as miniature railway for the kids, and a cafe on site as well as toilets and plenty of benches to sit down. very close walking distance to the shops and also the river. highly recommend taking a walk around here on your visits to chester.
Lovely park. well cultivated. beautiful flowers. enjoyed it even in the pouring rain. lots and lots of squirrels running around
