Explore (chester) is a great place. my daughter has been going to sessions there for nearly 3 years and loves it. it's a fun learning environment that helps to reinforce what they learn at school. i'm a teacher (but that doesn't really help with your own) and i think explore made a difference - particularly in year 4 when my daughter's teacher was off long term and she had a string of supply teachers. my daughter enjoyed doing the challenges on computer - particularly the maths ones. overall though, what makes the place is the management (all great but tom was a particular help) and the fantastic, encouraging and well informed tutors who work with what the children already know and help them to progress.
