Kumon Maths & English

Individualised support to the pupils, constructive critiquing, and a structured approach. i greatly value shakira's input for my son.

My daughter started kumon in october 2019 as we needed to boost her confidence with her english and decided to also get a little extra help with maths. shakira who runs the centre is fantastic, she is a very hard working, highly professional, very knowledgeable and has infinite patience. my daughters results over the last few months have been excellent, her confidence has grown, she is much more numerate and literate and focused. shakira takes the trouble to really get to know her students to gauge their progress through the stages or if any additional help is required. my daughter was only 5 when she started, so did require a high level of support from me, this is becoming less and less as she grows in confidence and independence and now completes most packs without my support. i couldn’t recommend shakira and kumon enough as a learning journey for children. my daughters teacher can also see the change in her work, which i can definitely attribute to the kumon practices. she can confidently add up numbers in her head now rather than on her fingers by finding number patterns. this in turn has led to a much higher level of speed and accuracy of her work.

My daughter joined chester kumon in 2020 and it has been a wonderful journey for her. shakira is an intelligent and very hard working tutor. my daughter improved speedily in her academics. i recommend this centre to every parent.
