First time here today but certainly not the last. Back in Chester after a long time away, was shocked how many parlours there are now so read the reviews, looked at the examples and decided to give Black Freighter a go. First off, what a brilliant space! Handy on Lower Bridge St and lovely inside. I was booked with Sean and he is one of the nicest blokes you'll ever meet - as well as being a brilliant tattooist. Absolutely delighted with the results, the process, all of it, will be back to Sean again very soon.

I had my first tattoo (age 60) here yesterday & what a great experience it was! Jordan paid great attention to detail to get it absolutely right. I’m delighted with the result & wish I’d done it sooner. Little tip: I applied numbing cream beforehand & didn’t feel a thing. Great experience! Thanks Jordan xo

My sister and I had matching tattoos done by Heather and had a wonderful time. Very relaxing, super prepared with everything we had sent through and really put me at ease for my first tattoo. And it looks amazing!

My friend and I went to see the very lovely Heather for our long awaited tattoos. We were both very nervous but we're made to feel at ease instantly. Sorry if we talked your head off! Heather made sure we were more than happy with the designs before starting. A very chilled environment with lovely artists..hi to Patrick! thanks for the coffees. The studio was very comfortable & spotlessly clean. We are both delighted with our tattoos and think that this could be the start of something 😀 If so, we know where to come.
