Old Palace Chester

We had the most incredible wedding at Old Palace, Chester. The venue itself is stunning, but it's the staff that make it so exceptional! Georgina and the team are truly out of this world, but a special mention to Lauren who went above and beyond to ensure every last detail was perfect. We felt like we had our own personal wedding planner at times - Lauren always made time for us to discuss our day and offered advice every step of the way. The food, drinks and service could not be faulted - I just wish we could re-live the day again!!

We’ve just celebrated my daughter’s wedding at The Old Palace Chester. Georgia is the calming influence who second guesses everything and just glides you through the process from booking to the day. The tables were set perfectly and nothing seemed too much from the staff. The food was amazing and silver service too - what a treat. Georgia manages the dining room from the sidelines just perfectly. Pizzas were delicious too Breakfast was delicious so much choice a great way to chat about the night before. Rooms spotless. Thank you too all the friendly, polite and most above all caring staff for a great day. A shout out to Lauren too who helped from booking to breakfast. Oh and the gardens and patio also spotless. Now how about getting a Lectern for the speeches????

Came here yesterday for my brothers & new sister in laws wedding. Had to leave a review about Georgina and Lauren as they were incredible! I had my 2 year old son who was not in the mood to walk down the aisle with his bridesmaid mother & Lauren was incredible going in and out of the room to get snacks for me to calm him down! Georgina was fantastic, doing anything and everything to make the day that little bit smoother. They are both such a credit to your team and I cannot thank them enough!

We got married here last weekend, 15th October 2023. We couldn't have been happier with The Old Palace every single step of the way - from our very first communication with them six months ago right until the moment we left the day after our wedding they were a dream to work with, friendly, personal and professional always. Georgie and Lauren are experts at what they do, their attention to detail, patience, passion for their jobs and the care taken to make this the best day of our lives was above and beyond anything we could have expected. We had an incredible day, every guest commented on the level of impressive service and how they were looked after by the team of lovely staff. Nothing was too big an ask and we cannot thank them enough for everything they did for us before and during our special day. Special mention for the fact that they included our 3 year old daughter in every possible moment and she had a ball too. We would recommend this venue to anyone - it's in a fabulous location on the River (highly recommend a boat trip with Chester Boats on your big day - we did an hour after the wedding breakfast) - it's beautiful throughout with stunning rooms and features, the food is delicious with so much seasonal choice and the service is out of this world. Our guests loved it! But the main reason I'd recommend the venue, Georgie and Lauren. I felt our wedding was in the safe hands of people who could assist with anything, make suggestions to improve our ideas and step in to ensure no issues arise on the day. Two really wonderful people who deserve to be acknowledged for the hard work they put in to make you feel special - our day was perfect, thanks in huge part to the team at The Old Palace. We wouldn't change a single thing! Thank you 🤍

Old palace is such an incredible venue to get married in. We got married in September this year and had the best day celebrating. The food was amazing and we had so many comments from our guests about how incredible the food, venue and service was! 👌The staff there are so helpful and attentive. A special shout out to Georgie and Lauren who go the extra mile for every couple and make your day even more special. Would definitely recommend getting the cocktails and beer barrels for your guests it went down a treat! X
