I've been an administrator with Visiting Angels for 3 months and I've been really enjoying my time here. They are very understanding and supportive of my health issues and have made me feel at ease. My mental health has significantly improved since working here due to the friendly atmosphere and homely feel. I have been out of work for 12 years due to motherhood but I've fitted right in with Visiting Angels and I feel appreciated and valued.

I work for Visiting Angels Central Lancashire at their Chorley office. It is a clean, spacious airy office with a wonderful atmosphere and great colleagues. Fortunately for me, being 63 years old wasn't a problem for the directors and I have brought several years of bookkeeping and admin experience to my position of Accounts Officer. I am learning many new skills as I become familiar with Visiting Angels policies & procedures.

Exactly 12 months ago today I signed my contract to become registered manager for Visiting Angels Central Lancashire and it is the best decision I ever made. I finally have a job where I am valued and supported. Care is a difficult industry, lots of rules and regulation, long & unsocial hours and very little recognition to just how valuable caregivers and good providers are. No employee here is just a number, every single staff member matters and everyone has a voice and is listened to. This is reflected in the dedication that each individual provides to their job role and the amazing care that is provided to our wonderful clients. We have the best team and I am proud to be a part of it.

I have worked for Visiting Angels in Chorley, since September 2022. Before this I had worked from home for years. I was worried about how I would cope with being in an office environment again, but I needn't have worried as it is such a lovely, friendly team. Heidi, the Managing Director, is so easy to talk to and supportive. She is very hands on, even doing Care calls herself. She really makes sure that all the staff are happy and well looked after. Michelle, the Registered Manager, knows everything that there is to know about Care and all the Clients love her. I am always happy to go to work.
