Ramada Chorley South M6

Arrived after a long journey. The welcome from Reece and Michelle was great. Friendly, informative and told me all I needed to know. Check in took no time at all! The food was great, service fast and pleasant and even met the chef who cooked a great evening meal and a breakfast any restaurant owner would be proud of! Will come here again, a great find!

Despite completing check in online it did not seem to speed the physical check in when we arrived. I had requested an accessible room, but this request seemed to have been ignored. There are 2 disabled parking bays, but ramped access seemed to have been an afterthought. No lift to access first floor. Online pictures of rooms very deceiving, found them quite small as was the ensuite toilet & shower. Their promotional literature mentions a good number of EV chargers, which is why I chose this hotel but they are only suitable for Tesla cars!!

Little Hotel next to the Charnock Richard service station. The hotel is quiet and offers very good value for money. The only difficulty is getting to it. There is easy access to it from M6, but if you have to go anywhere around the area, you have to go to J28 to be able to get access to Chorley or Leyland. If you want to get to the hotel from the North, you have to go back to J27 heading south and then drive up north for 2 miles to get to the service station and hotel. In the past, there was a road that allowed you to get to local roads without any problem. Now, Highway Agency has put a barrier, and you can not go through it anymore.

Very pleasantly surprised with room. Bed comfy and room nice and quiet. Service station motels have a certain reputation, but this place exceeded all expectations. Granted it's far from the Ritz, but as a quick stopover on a long multi-day journey it's great
