Been going here for years and years, normally amazing recently there's been a chemical taste on the food and the bags smell of it too...not sure if the cleaning stuff is being used too close ? But normally it's fantastic , not sure what's happening

Telephoned the bakery looking for Chelsea buns as you can't seem to buy them locally anymore (other than a couple of Supermarkets that have them pre-packed-and they're not very nice). The lady was very helpful and phoned her suppliers to see if they had them and luckily they did so she ordered them in for me and Said they would be there as early as 6:30 the following morning. Excellent service and very helpful and of course very yummy Chesea buns. Will definitely become a regular customer. A perfect example of customer service which nowadays is quite rare. Always friendly and prompt service. The pastry on the pasties n pies is second to none. Wish mine came out like that! Only problem is the cakes look so good I'm always tempted to break my diet!

Lovely Bakery little bit pricey but worth it 😋

Beautiful little Bakers just outside Colchester on the way to mersea which is definitely worth a detour. Lovely range of breads and also warm pastries. We got a couple of sausage cobs as breakfast while travelling. They were amazing, great sausages, 3 in each cob, so nice and very filling. Highly recommended
