Rehabilitation and Training

Steve done so much with us in the two hours he was with us. Steve was our last resort as we thought we might have had to re home one of our dogs due to them fighting but Steve has given us hope that this isn’t the case. Steve has given us all the tools to make our dogs better, it’s now down to us to make sure we implement them. My only complaint is that I didn’t book him for the whole day as he was amazing

We asked Steve from Rehabilitation and Training to come to visit our two rescue collies, as they were both nervous and reactive in different ways, especially to strangers. Steve was brilliant with them. He was calm, and gave us some things to do to help discipline them, but without unkindness or raised voices. He bases his training on kindness and reward, which I knew from a previous visit for a different rescue, so I was very happy to trust him to come back again. I have to be honest and say that quite a bit of the training is for the owner, as well as teaching how strangers should approach a dog (they shouldn't!). All in all, it was a positive experience for both us, and our much loved collies. Thank you Steve.

I would strongly recommend Steve as he is an excellent dog trainer. We had a number of concerns with our Maltese dog. Steve spent a day with us going through the issues and advising us how to address each one of them. Steve's strategies are very effective! After the training we received a comprehensive report so that we could refer back to if ever required. Excellent service!

Our rescue American bulldog mix had a session with Steve over the summer and we found it incredibly helpful for his excitable reactivity with other dogs on walks. A lot of his work surrounded building confidence in our dog, as well as our own abilities. This confidence building has meant that other areas of training have gone incredibly smoothly, such as muzzle training. I would 100% recommend Steve. Super friendly too

Steve came and spent the day with me my partner and 2 dogs. One of my dogs is a young rescue dog from Spain, and we have several behavioural issues with him including noise reactivity, barking excessively at people entering the house, constantly grabbing my other dog and pulling on the lead. After a day spent with Steve he’s given us a wealth of tips, advice and training techniques which we have started to implement and are already seeing an improvement. We know we’ve got a lot of work to do but thanks to Steve we feel much more confident in getting there! Highly recommended 👏🏼
