Super delicious bread, sweet bits and especially the cruffin. ;) you absolutely have to try it. price is also ok.
Located on a street that is always crowded, it’s a miracle that the line moves so quickly. everything in the window looks so delicious, i had a hard time making a choice. i finally got a vegetarian pasty which was very good (the size is enormous and is quite literally like a lunch). the pasty is served hot, so you may have to wait a minute before you bite into it.
Very cute little bakery with an amazing window display full of lots of tasty treats and different breads. seems to be a popular place for tourists wanting their picture taken next to the window display. i bought one of the amazing looking pink and white meringues and a thick looking caramel slice. they were so delicious, and to top it off a friendly lady inside serving. would come here again on our next holiday.
After stumbling across this place on google maps and seeing all the good reviews about the cruffins i had to try it out for myself when we were here in april 2023. despite there being a queue the service was quick. first time trying one and it did not disappoint - flaky yet doughy with delicious jam and creme pat. i really enjoyed it and glad i was secluded as it was a bit messy to eat! 😆
Really very good, they have a good system in and out with taking the orders, no one is waiting too long. cruffins are very good, a mix of a croissant and muffin, filled with jam and custard. also the giant meringue are very good but must be eaten fresh. i did not have the pasties but they looked and smelt very good. the cruffins were some of the best food we had in cornwall.
