The Cornish Bakery

It has been an instant affair with this place! In my first day in St Ives I tried their coffee and 2 of their pastries - fell completely in love! That’s why for the following 7 days I was there every day! Difficult to convince myself to try any other bakery 🙊 The pastries are super fresh and good quality! The doughs have the perfect amount of crunch-flaky-no weird moisture-amazing flavor-mix! They also have a very extended option for both pastries and coffees! Tried quite a lot of their options in the past 7 days, so I don’t know how I’ll manage without now 😅 They allow dogs inside and the seating area is comfortable and welcoming. It is possible to only pay by card. The bathroom could definitely use better care throughout the day though..

Had a wonderful visit here, the staff were all really friendly and there's a great range of food on the menu including some delicious pastys. They have the traditional one as well as other options. Had a vegetable pasty there and a cauliflower and onion baji one to take away. There's some seating but it is limited.

Good decision to try Cornish pasties here. The traditional pasty was great with plenty of filling and the right amount of meat and potatoes. Also tried the spiced cauliflower version and it was a surprise hit! Chicken masala in our next visit was good albeit lacking in the chicken department. No complaints in the taste and flavour department though. Beef chipotle has a kick to it which I liked. Best to go early if you want all the options available as they run out quick and then there is a wait till the next batch comes out piping hot out of their ovens. This has been added to my list of places to visit when in St Ives.
