West Cornwall Dog Training

Carolyn came highly recommended, we couldn't agree more. Our dog Lucas a strong headed German shepherd cross had issues tearing our home apart and when left alone would bark all the time. With Carolyn's advice and guidance we have transformed him within one month, of course the training is on going under guidance, but on our own. From not being able to leave him for one minute we are now up to 45 Mins. Amazing

During our August holiday in Cornwall, our 1 year old golden retriever had five training sessions with Carolyn in her well established and totally secure dog paddock. Carolyn is a wonderful dog trainer with a great affinity with dogs. We found that she knew much more about training dogs than all the trainers we used before. She is very friendly, easy to talk to and our dog immediately happily engaged with her. She never made me feel inadequate in training my dog. Every minute spent with her I found was an education. We learned many things from Carolyn such as emergency stop, greeting people, calming down my dog and many other things. The prime reason for going to Carolyn was to improve our pooch’s ability to be recalled from other dogs he may be engaging with, and Carolyn accomplished this difficult task with practised ease within two sessions. We now find that our pooch is much better at understanding and correctly acting on commands from me. Walking him has become a much easier thing to do with my new ability to control my dog. Thank you very much Carolyn for very informative and enjoyable five days.

Carolyn was very friendly and welcoming and great with our dog who is a Romanian rescue and can be nervous of strangers. After our first session I feel we have already made great progress with him. She seems very knowledgeable and has already given me some great advice and tips which have helped. Really looking forward to our next session.

Carolyn teaches you how to train your dog/manage their behaviour, so that you understand what YOU need to do to be a responsible dog owner. She's really tuned in to your behaviour and your dog's, so her insights are incredibly valuable - it's about you, and what your dog is picking up from you. Her agenda is clear:she wants your dog to be happy, and you to be happy loving your dog. This is not generic one size fits all advice - when you need guidance that will last you your lifetime, Carolyn's services are what you and your pup are looking for.

Great trainer, this was our third trainer and we were desperate as we couldn’t get Otis to come back when barking at the dog next door. One session with Caroline and our lives changed dramatically, from being worried to let him out and having to go get him back in, to letting him out whenever without worry. Caroline explained what we were doing wrong, made sense and eureka we put it into practice and no more worries. Pulling on the lead was next, with Otis so excitable, and although Otis is not perfect yet, again Caroline’s teaching is working. I would highly recommend Caroline in an instant.
