St Ives Bay Hotel

This is a lovely little hotel right near the very popular beach with good view of the Atlantic ocean. Very good view of the fishing boats fishing at night and you can see tide coming and going down. Their food and hospitality service is excellent On the negative side they don't Plumbing service even for emergency. Some people had leaking attach bathroom they could not mend. That lost all the plus points. Over the weekend temporary staff's are not efficient or helpful. Their service and dealing with guests deserves to be much better to come to normal standards

Read some mixed reviews on the hotel. I found the room very nice with a beautiful view of the beach and sea. The food was excellent with 4 choices everyday on evening meals and the staff were really good, very helpful and efficient, nothing was too much trouble. I'll definitely stay again. Thanks to all, including our coach driver from Caledonian, well done to the driver Anne.

I was initially a little worried about our visit due to some of the negative reviews, however our visit was positive overall. This is a 3 star hotel and with that in mind, yes it is a bit tired looking in places and our room was compact but it was clean and comfortable. We were lucky to have a room at the front so the view was gorgeous. The food was good, we had breakfast and dinner. Decent choices and portions. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is excellent. To sum up, in our view..our stay was very good value for money.

I don’t think this hotel deserves the amount of negative reviews it has. Yes it’s a little outdated but compared the prices in the rest of St Ives the value for money is brilliant. The staff were really lovely and upgraded our room for free. We paid £40 in November for 1 night with a beautiful view overlooking Porthminster beach. Excellent location. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom spotless. There is a bar in the lobby and breakfast available (although we didn’t try either). We will be back again!
