We went to the turkish kitchen after reading some good reviews on google.we ordered a hot meze starter, which we found a short dark hair in the hummus. i pointed this out to one of the staff without making too much of a fuss about it. the plate was taken away without so much of an apology, and then the remaining food returned on a different plate, again no apology. this did put on edge a little for the rest of the meal, but to be fair, the food was quite nice. at the end of the meal the waiter brought a free desert for us all to try, maybe as some sort of apology for the hair but nothing was mentioned. in all, the food wasn't bad but the place had no atmosphere. i don't think a re-visit is on the cards.

We had hummus, shepherd salad and flat bread for starters. chicken kebabs with rice, lamb sis kebab with rice, tavuk sis for us, lamb shish, chicken shish and popcorn for kids. to be honest portions were average sizes. the guy at reception was very friendly and helpful. they took bit extra time to serve us. i think they were short staff. we were super hungry. food was fresh and delicious. they serve halal food as they have halal certificate too.

Can't fault this place. service was very quick and polite. after our order was taken we were given appetisers, which were tasty. our food was cooked just right. couldn't fault the flavour, presentation or portion size. definitely a gem in newquay and worth every penny.
