Nice place to visit. good parkland dog walk. interesting house - though only partly open. views down to river are good and food is up to usual nt standard.
What a lovely find ! parked at national trust car park £5 all day, free to members. we went on a circular route, down towards beach area, and then through the woods.stopped to watch ferry to falmouth and king harry ferry, absolutely wonderful, sat on jetty watching passing yachts and rowing boats.carried on route back round to house and gardens, beautiful, tranquil and great for children and dogs to enjoy creativity and outdoor adventure, some pathways suitable for wheelchair and pushchairs but some stairs half way around walk.once back in grounds, lovely wide paths with great scenery, stopped at gardens for a coffee, toilets available, second hand bookshop and a couple of gift/plant shops ,definitely would recommend a visit, really lovely day.

Lovely gardens that attracts a lot of dog walkers for the woodland walks (not allowed on main gardens). parking is £5 for non members so that’s a bit off- putting. you will catch a view of the “spare” 🤣 ferry on part of walk and plenty to see. was looking forwardto visit to cafe on way back but seemed very popular when i arrived - tables very busy and a long queue. seems a popular meeting place for locals 😉
A beautiful place to spend a few hours. if you enjoy walking and lovely surroundings this is for you. whilst only the ground floor is open to visitors and is worth a look, there is so much more to this site. the grounds are extensive, commanding outstanding views of the bay, in fact you are able to walk down to the beach. the flower beds are full of more exotic plants than you might expect, palms, banana plants and others, with a dazzling array of colourful blooms. be aware though that some of the trails are long and a few have steep inclines.
