Nice setting and location. nice patio area but a bit too windy on our visit to eat outside. service okay - casual friendly manner and tips are forced by payment machine. we saw another customer being ignored for a good while. carry tray with cutlery, bottles of ketchup, etc, on each table, but these are not topped up. order and pay at the bar so little service to speak of. not a great range of food unless you're after the usual burgers and fish & chips. we had mussels and ham, egg & chips. both nice but not especially good and quite pricey. music awful - worst of the 80s album playing. not at all suited to clientele. most custom probably locals/ beach visitors as a lot of snack options. beer was good.
This pub is a little tired but it has a fantastic location on the beach and the food was good...unfortunately it therefore gets really busy! we did manage to find a table inside to order our drinks/meal but 20mins later, after re-ordering with 2 different staff, the drinks had still failed to arrive...we were told there was a backlog of drinks orders from the people outside! our food then arrived but there was still no sign of our drinks. the staff did apologise and one of our drinks was removed from the bill but the whole experience wasn't great on such a hot day! we also had to wait 15mins to pay the bill!
Absolutely delicious meals served in a timely manner, fantastic location with amazing views. narrow road as access and small car park but we couldn’t fault the food service and atmosphere! thank you
My main was good and the staff were really friendly. the rest of my family enjoyed their food too. my only complaint would be the desert, as it wasn't what i was expecting. i had an ice cream sundae and it was very small, 3 small scoops of ice cream, a strawberry cut in half with strawberry sauce. it was more like a kids desert and i could be wrong but i'm pretty sure it was £8.
An impromptu sunday lunch at the pub. we arrived early and booked a table the same day, sat outside in the glorious sunshine and were served by a lovely lady. within about an hour though, it got very busy indeed and unless you had a reservation they had stopped serving food. the roast was the best i’ve had from a pub in a very long time. rainbow colours on my plate and absolutely delicious. highly recommended
