Trehellas Country House Hotel, & Restaurant

Super 2 night break at this lovely location. Great spacious room and very spacious bathroom. Lovely hot shower. Great food both for dinner and breakfast. Lovely friendly staff and even got a sausage for the dog.

What a neat place. The reception area, dining rooms, and hotel rooms are impeccable. The food is great. It would appear to be sourced locally and of the finest quality. I would have liked a slightly larger breakfast, but that's just me. The staff are really helpful and would certainly stay here again.

Friendly welcome upon arrival. Reg the dog got lots of fuss. We were placed in room in a separate building, which had recently been converted to rooms. This was great for Reg, as we could walk straight out for toileting breaks. Downside was that the building was at the side of the road... however, there was double glazing so there was no noise disturbance from traffic passing by Went to run a bath when I first arrived and hot water ran out quarter of the way through. But, take two was okay later on. Dogs are not allowed in the Restaurant for dinner, but they recommended the Borough Arms, which was dog friendly and had lush food. Dogs are allowed in for breakfast, but dogs and owners are placed inside the property and are not allowed in the conservatory.

We had a wonderful one night stay at Trehellas Country House Hotel and Restaurant. The room was lovely and comfortable and had everything we needed. The restaurant was something else, the food was phenomenal, I had the pork belly which was delicious, and my husband had the lamb which he said was amazing, really tender. The desserts were also amazing and I can strongly recommend the cheesecake. We had also booked for breakfast and again I cannot fault anything, there was a large range of cereals and fruit to start and a large menu of cooked options, including a full English, salmon, and vegetarian options. We both opted for the bacon and poached eggs and we were not disappointed, the bacon was crispy and the eggs were fluffy and runny. All produce is locally sourced and you can tell. Will definitely book here again.
