A lovely historical traditional church. High Church of England traditions followed, with a traditional service structure - lovely friendly atmosphere and great brew after the service.

Visited this historic church on the occasion of my commissioning as a Coventry Street Pastor. There's a genuine sense of history here, along with modern facilities which made our event run smoothly. The people were very welcoming, too.

I was welcomed in as I passed by on my way to find a spot of lunch by a gentleman who gave me a tour of the building, which I really enjoyed. That evening I googled the church and read on wikipedia what the gentleman had told me earlier on in the day. What an amazing place.
"Founded in 1344 and consecrated in 1350 over the centuries this church has been used as a prison for Scottish rebels, as stables, a market, and a winding and dying house for cloth. The church ceased to be used for worship around 1590 and was restored as a place of worship in 1734. It is now in the Church of England Diocese of Coventry." [Wikipedia]

A beautiful medieval church with a fascinating history. A must for any church history fan, particularly if you’re lucky enough to meet Mike, the visitor coordinator who is an absolute fount of knowledge for the church’s 700-year history.
