I have had lessons from several guitar teachers in coventry and i can honestly say that john is the most patient and passionate i know. his knowledge of the instrument is second to none and his explanations of music theory makes the fog a lot clearer. i stopped lessons for around 2 years but started again a couple of months ago as i had reached a point where i was not progressing. with johns guidance i am definitely seeing improvements and look forward to my weekly fix. i would not hesitate for an instant to recommend john as a music teacher and i really appreciate his help and encouragement with my playing.

John is a great guitar teacher and i cannot recommend him highly enough. not only is he helping me to develop my guitar playing knowledge and technique but he always has interesting suggestions for what to listen to for some inspiration. john has an enthusiastic but laid-back and understanding approach and i always come away from lessons feeling motivated and wanting to play more.

I have been using john as a guitar teacher for a number of years now. he is a solid teacher for both piano and guitar lessons. you will learn the fundamentals/theory and the lessons will be focused around what you want to learn. a great teacher for beginners to advanced levels. i can’t recommend john enough and i have thoroughly enjoyed the journey of learning guitar and music through john.

John is a fantastic teacher. he is very patient and really knows how to build your confidence. great for beginners or for more accomplished musicians he has a very engaging style and makes learning fun. i bought my first guitar when i was 40 so learning was never going to be easy. i had my first lesson with john a week later and with his encouragement and understanding i have made great progress and more importantly haven't stopped playing in the 15 year since then. i cannot recommend john highly enough - if you are looking for lessons, don't hesitate.
