Nice old building. The only downfall is the price to get in

What an amazing gem of history! It’s like traveling in time across 700 years since when Coventry first became an independent city and eventually the centre of power in England when Henry VI moved to the city during the War of the Roses. Fascinating place, very well kept and wonderful staff sharing their knowledge of history across every century.

Visited this wonderful building on Wednesday 6 July. Great staff, who ensured an elderly gentleman could manage the information tablet. This was really useful, but I learnt considerably more from the lovely lady member of staff who accompanied me. What she told me about the tapestry wouldn’t be on the tablet, and I was captivated by her account of how this precious building was prepared for the blitz by removing stained glass, the tapestry and finials in the roof to a place of safe keeping. Well done to all who have invested time, money and skills to preserve this place for us. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff - thank you all. Went on to enjoy a cream tea at the tea room and then explore the new cathedral, which reduced me to tears.

Little hidden gem in the heart of Coventry. Historically interesting place to visit with knowledgeable staff. Had fun trying on the garments and hats relevant to the times.

Very clean place, recently completely redone, very well informed staff providing lots of information. But still, tickets are very expensive for such a smallish place. But it's definitely worth a visit.
