Impressive looking main building although rooms are in a different area so a bit of a walk . car parking reasonably easy spread out over several different areas. rooms good and restaurant/ breakfast nice. on the wet night i was there the fire alarm went off so all quickly dressed and evacuated.. after a while standing in the rain someone mumbled it was all clear, so we all went back in and back to bed. no real explanation or apology. more expensive than similarly priced local hotel i normally stay in.
What a place to stay, fantastic. food was beautiful, presented well and the taste amazing. the room was totally jaw dropping ( royal suite).
Spent a lovely couple of days here in the week. decided to treat myself for my birthday. i enjoyed some wonderful meals, including an afternoon tea. i also had a lovely spa day complete with treatments. staff were lovely and i was well looked after.
We decided to stay here last minute for mine and my boyfriends four year anniversary and it turned out to be one of the best stays we’ve ever had. spoke to a really kind lady on the phone asking her to write happy anniversary in a card in the room and she went over & beyond. the room and facilities were both lovely too. will definitely be returning.
We were in room 3203. lovely old building, stunning location. the brasserie doesn't really fit with the main building. lovely open fires. the photos speak for themselves. bed was comfy, bathroom very clean. hairdryer, iron, ironing board, trouser press, safe, bath robes, shower gel, shower cap, shampoo and conditioner provided. coffee machine and tea making facilities in room( also more asking one of the corridors). towels provided.
