Not that great with the experience…kind of weird feel when went into the shop…experienced a kind of insult with the sales team not with a gentleman who helped in middle and when called for enquiry they told iam the first in the waiting list and later yesterday they told third..how can this be happened?maybe they are playing in between as well..may be that will be my thought🤷♂️
Although i had to go home and back again as i forgot to take any id with me the first time (duh!) the assistant manager, jack, managed to transfer my old number to my new phone, bless him! it took him about 20 minutes, as my old sim was damaged and i couldn't remember any security questions on my account. eventually he magically got the old sim to work and hey presto - old number back on new phone. i was overjoyed. hence a 5* review here! (just don't forget to take your id with you). the o2 shop is on market street which is pedestrianised. there are several car parks in the area (you have to pay for parking, unless you have a blue badge) and a small number of disabled (free) parking spaces opposite memorial square a short walk away.
Today the guys saved me and sorted my sim out which after many years had failed, while browsing i talked about upgrading and they again went above and beyond explaining which would be an ideal model after asking me what would suit my work needs etc good shop and staff cheers.
I called in as my sim had stopped working so i popped in on my lunch break. despite having many forms of id with me but not passport / driving license they were unable to replace my non working sim card. so it was a wasted trip saying that the staff were very friendly and helpful and even called 02 from their landline to see if they could clear me through security checks. sadly i was unable to understand the people asking the questions and it wasn't a great line and with no wifi/data couldn't get the security code etc. ridiculous really when you can i found out go on their chat page and they will just post a sim card out for you but not the staffs fault. while i was there they had one person upset over a missing phone and someone else had been promised a sim for a different store they seem to have a lot of issues to deal with not caused by their store and they remained polite professional and were clearly frustrated they couldn't help more. it all seemed a bit disorganised and unfair on the staff.
