Coombe Wood Gardens

A beautiful garden with a great variety of flowers in the formal area by the entrance, and a large wooded area behind it with many rhodedendrons and azaleas. To see these at their best I suggest early to mid May. Note that the paths around the gardens are quite narrow, and there are steep slopes in the wooded area.

Lovely place. However, it needs more volunteers to help it flourish like in the old days. Apparently the council ran out of money and this place does not longer receive any financial help, which is a shame. The cafe is clean and good staple food is served.

A nice place for a hilly stroll in landscaped woods. There are smaller formal gardens near the entrance. A nice shaded pond with a stream also. …
