Nice pub. great barmaids especially becky.
Visited in july 2022 for tuesday karaoke. quality real ale. turned out to be a brilliant night out. go visit! it's a historic local pub (15th century, named after wat tyler the unfortunate leader of the peasant revolt). has been vastly improved since our last visit few years ago. the current landlord shane is friendly, welcoming, can sing - and even used to earn a living at that! #elvislives😎 a long, narrow pub with traditional bar along one side. loudspeakers have been professionally installed ready for visiting djs to plug their equipment in at small raised area by side entrance opposite the bar, where karaokeers "perform". and most customers did. there are tables and pews (yep, like in church!) at the front where we sat, and high stools at the bar. four real ale pumps, three of which were on including *5.6% theakston old peculier* which stuck in my mind. didn't have that (‘lunatic’s broth’) though, and can't remember which of the others i had! but beer was excellent and reasonably priced. pint of whatever i had plus single spirit and big can of coke £8.20. shots were five for £10 and also good. karaoke was by terryokey, who put on a good show that started just before eight pm.
