The Argosy

Went on a Sunday night with partner. Place was very clean and had a nice atmosphere. All staff we interacted with were friendly and attentive. Service was fast and food was tasty, with good portions. We liked the little grabber machine they had there: thought it was a fun little touch. Value for money was superb; reasonably priced food and cocktails were 2 for £8.50 or £5 each. Would recommend. Several screens showing live sport but wasn't rowdy at all.

Popped in for food last night after a day out. Ordered starter with our mains and everything was lovely. Hot and plenty of it. Fabulous service from Becky the manager who served us at bar. The pub has just an a refurbishment and it looks really good. Very nice and will be back again soon.

So we haven't been in since the place was refurbished and we were pleasantly surprised. The team were friendly and we was served by the manager and James. The manager helped us with the o2 app and was very accommodating. The food came in a timely fashion and was lovely. We had fish and chips which was just the right size. 2 for £11. The deserts were lovely.recommend the brownie

Had tea and chips, so I can't say about the beer. It looks clean and tidy with an appealing menu. Dogs are only allowed in the bar area - see photos - no doggy treats supplied. I don't know how this works when the pool players are there!!! The carpark needs tidying up, especially on the left by the fence under the trees. Outside seating area looks great.
