Allestree Park Golf Course

Great golf course first time played for over 20 years. The course is well managed and maintained. Views are great which ever direction you look. It took just over 3 hours to complete.£10.00 a round worth every penny. I'm looking forward to getting back in to the swing again.a lot of dog walkers a round but that's fine after all it's a public area not private. Some reviews on here are a joke. Just go up and play and make your own mind up. Most of reviews on here are from people who go to there's members only golf clubs I bet where its so lovey dovey.

Visited at start of April and was very impressed by how well kept the course was for the time of year. 18 holes for £12 is a great deal, especially with how picturesque the course is. There are a couple of shared/close greens that it wasn't immediately obvious which flag stick you were hitting too (This may have been signed somewhere but I didn't see) but playing off 23, it didn't affect me too much! April showers meant the greens were slow but surface was consistent if a little on the long side. First public course I've played on and loved chatting to all the dog walkers who were all polite and aware of the golf going on. Can't wait to play it again!

Lovely lake, woodland walks, great scenery from higher areas. Golf course , so have to be careful walking , use pathways. Lake has walk all around it, ducks, swans, etc. Private fishing. No children's playground or cafeteria for refreshments, so take your own. There are toilets behind the golf club.

Good for walking and keeping a safe distance. Wooded areas.

Took a stroll on Allestree Park early today, the birds songs put a smile on our faces and the peace and tranquility was just perfect. Others using the park acted with care and responsibility in these difficult times. Two wonderful hours of exercise that was great for our fitness and even better for the mind, just what the doctor ordered.
