Premier Inn Derby City Centre (Riverlights) hotel

Can't fault my stay. I love premier inn and loved especially how central it is. My air conditioning was working fine, staff were very friendly and helpful. This is right next to bus station, shops and even though it's slap bang in the city centre, it's so quiet. Will be back again next year for my residential week. Thank you

It's a good Premier Inn. Rooms and shared spaces all nice. Location is a bit awkward if you're driving. There's two Preview Inn's out much in sight of each other which starts the confusion. I'd not done my research and ended up following the car sat nav right up to as close as I could get. But that's down a bus lane so I'll likely get a ticket. And there's no parking on site. Also the entrance is away from the road towards the river on a pedestrian area some way from the main drag. So even if you come by bus there is a short walk around the back of the buildings. Fine once you know where you're going though, but do your homework.

Comfortable room, had food which was average at the expected inflated costs for service provision. Staff were slow to process arrival and moved our room which meant there was no bed made up for our little one despite having a family booking. Staff did come up and make up the room but having arrived late in the day after travels the delay and faff were unwanted and went unacknowledged by staff. Overall a comfortable and as expected stay although staff customer service could have been better

Couldn't pre-book an early check-in but managed to do so on the day. Staff were helpful & polite. The room was spacious, clean & the bed was very comfortable. Likewise, the bathroom was clean. We had breakfast, which had plenty of choice of both hot & cold food. Staff kept the tables clean & the food well stocked. Would stay again & would recommend.

Clean rooms in a good location (literally above the bus stop in the centre). Somewhat understaffed I think as they're was nobody to check in when I arrived about 7pm - neither machine was working so had to wait a while for someone to help me and the queue. Then at breakfast there was just one guy having to run around sorting tables and also getting people signed in etc. Overall room was good - a bit warm but otherwise clean and well layed out, shower was a bit of a dribble and leaked from the hose, but managed a quick shower nonetheless. Breakfast ok, what you'd expect from a PI buffet, better range than some hotels. Overall a reasonable stay while here for one night for work
