Okra Indian Restaurant

Once again the service and the food was superb. The mixed grill I have got to say is truly the best I have had. The Okra lamb is also lovely, the lamb being so tender with a perfect combination of spices creating a delicious tasty dish. Thanks to all at Okra 👍

One of the best curry restaurants that I have visited. This is a far more 'fine dining' experience than you normally receive in a curry restaurant. I was a solo business traveller for an over night stop in Derby. There is plenty of space around the tables for discrete conversation, the waiting staff were excellent and were able to provide me with a great recommendation based on my taste. I had two poppadoms with chutneys served in chinaware, rather than the normal pressed steel. Then I had a delicious lamb curry, rice and a naan. I had two large glasses of merlot which were reasonably priced at £5 each. The meal came to £40 for one person. The restaurant is located near the theatres and centrally to the city, it is also just along the road from the popular Fat Cafe if you are looking for a follow on location. It took me only 10 minutes to walk from the also excellent Leonardo Hotel and the 'UKs safest carpark' if you are driving. I can't recommend highly enough, definitely worthy of five stars.
