The Spice Lounge

Truly amazing restaurant. Definitely the best Indian restaurant I've been to and the best chicken I've had, ever. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were great - good sense of humour and the service was excellent. Not bad priced at all either for the amazing food and service you get. Would definitely recommend and will be going again. Shout out to the staff member who reminded me I ID'd him for a Redbull at the shop I work at!

I live over 150 miles away, but when I am in the area or nearby I make a detour to have a meal at the Spice Lounge in Derby. The ambiance and atmosphere is so comfortable, the staff are so friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. A particular dish is my favourite, Chicken Mossomon. It has a gorgeous mouthwatering taste and it’s the best Indian dish I have ever tasted and is unique to the Spice Lounge. Nowhere else cooks this dish and it has been withdrawn from the menu. I am Indian from my father my father who was born in Bombay and my mother Ceylon and it is such a shame that this dish is no longer available as it was the best Indian dish I have ever tasted. I will see if they can prepare it for me next time I visit. Top class restaurant, I recommend it.

First visit. Lovely food, friendly staff. The food arrived promptly but I did feel a bit rushed - I suppose they can't win really! We ordered water for the table which we didn't get but I am sure we would have if we'd followed it up. The food was delicious and the decor really modern and welcoming. I would recommend and I will definitely go again.

I have had a variety of currys from here over the last couple of years (take away) and every single one has been fabulous. The tandoori salmon is some of the best fish I've ever had, anywhere! Fresh, flacky and packed full of flavour. It's an absolute must try. Rice, perfectly spiced. Onion bhaji and nans, fabulous! I had the lamb dupiaza this time. The lamb was tender, and the curry itself was packed full of papers and onions in a fabulous onion sauce, beautifully spiced and flavoured. The Spice lounge is a real must go to if you're in Derby and want a 5 star curry!
