The food and service in this place is amazing! the staff are wonderful & make you feel so welcome. they go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. the food tastes like you’re back in turkey which is why i come here time and time again, it’s authentic. complimentary bread and dips to start. the sharing platters are the best if you want to try a little bit of everything and they’re huge! the prices are amazing considering the quality of the food, everything is so fresh & they make the turkish bread fresh in house. we got the jumbo platter between 5 of us & then ordered baklava and biscoff cheesecake for dessert and drinks - our bill worked out to roughly £17 each. this place is a must go!

Lovely services and great atmosphere. all staff are friendly and professional. the foods are delicious, authentic and valuable (big portion compared to its prices). strongly recommend the lamb doner (more tasty) and lamb shish (more tender and juicy). they have a plate of bread and a sauce platter before your meal too! we've been here 3-4 times already, so definitely recommended!

Attentive and friendly service, excellent food - fast, authentic and tasty. also pretty good value - two of us ate our fill for about £40 inc soft drinks. you can eat really well for closer to £10 per head. no alcohol served here, but they will allow you to bring your own at certain times (worth checking with them). highly recommend.

It's a surprise that this restaurant is not recognised for its full potential, food quality, great and friendly service, and spacious welcoming atmosphere. i have dined at istanbul restaurant, located near waterstone, just outside the derbion many times. not a single time was the quality, and the service dropped. beautiful food aromas and the atmosphere of turkiye bring back the great holiday memories. with spacious and welcoming interor, it can cater to large patries and family occasions. without any doubt, the professional staff will cater to every need. i highly recommend this unfairly underrated restaurant for its great food, friendly staff, and beautiful atmosphere. come and find out for yourself what a great gem in the middle of derby city this restaurant is. most certainly, i am coming back. well, worth a visit.
