Danum Gallery, Library and Museum

A well utilised space. Good gallery (missing a couple of information plaques) but the staff are happy to help they could do with a couple of backed chairs for mobility issues but this is rare for all galleries. The museum is good, has a couple of very interesting items, they could probably do with some more in depth character studies of the more prominent local people: for instance the palentologist. But its interesting. Staff are very lovely. A must see in Doncaster. Ps it's free. And the café is great.

Terrific museum, art gallery and library, all housed in the one building in Doncaster. One of the amazing things to see at night, is an illuminated old school building enclosed inside the glass exterior of the modern building. It's based on four floors and has a cafe and shop. There are interesting displays on steam trains, military, local interest, paintings and sculptures. It's a fantastic building for the whole community and every age.

Lovely place and interesting information about our town now a city! Cafe was great menu varied chose sandwiches and pot of tea for 2, very well presented and tasty, staff very quick and attentive, will definitely be here again when more paintings on show as there were only a few on show possibly because a Lego display was being set up!

We called in here for something to eat while we were in Doncaster our first time here and I can highly recommend the food and coffee great prices quality food you can also reserve a table.

What a great place. There is much more to see than I expected. The art gallery has an exhibition of beautiful watercolours celebrating Flying Scotsman. The museum has quite a lot of exhibits about Doncaster's history right from roman times. The basement has interesting railway exhibits in cases and also 2 locomotives, both built in Doncaster and the last surviving examples of their type There's a good cafe with a good selection of vegan choices. The library is large and well used and there are computers for people to use.
