Attended a concert in the minster, lovely setting but if i go to another, i'll be sure to take a cushion, the pews are not at all comfy!
Very interesting history to the minster with good stained glass windows. original church burnt down and was rebuilt in the late 1800's in 4 years. queen victoria gave the church £100 towards the stained glass windows.
Another church/minster well worth visiting. beautiful architecture and windows. full of history. very helpful stewards on site. close to bus station and not far from train station. very close to doncaster town centre
Beautiful building even on a chilly wet winters day
We walked in and were immediately greeted by a very friendly man holding a cup of tea who spoke very enthusiastically about the cathedral. the stained glass windows are great, and there is so much detail to see. we were fortunate that when we went to visit, the choir was practising with the organ playing, and it was amazing. it's definitely worth a visit. free entry with card donations accepted.
