La Rustica Restaurant & Wine Bar

Honestly cannot recommend this place enough. We arranged for a large family meal as a surprise announcement for our wedding elopement. From the initial booking to oaying the experience was easy and pleasant. The staff were wonderful, lovely hosts. The food was incredible, we had a large party with a wide variety of meals chosen and not a single complaint. It was a lovely evening and I would not hesitate to recommend or to return. Perfect.

La Rustica Last night, we went to La Rustica in Doncaster. This was our first visit but it had been highly recommended by many people. The main dining area is in the brick vaulted basement which has a great atmosphere - like one big party! It’s chic, it’s romantic, it’s hip and it’s casual - all at the same time. The restaurant was packed solid when we arrived, and needs to be booked well in advance to secure a table. We had anti pasta sharing platters, seafood and bruschetta to begin. We chose chicken carbonara, seafood linguine, salmon and asparagus linguine, and chicken with garlic and chilli for main courses served with delicious garlic bread. The food was excellent, all freshly cooked to order and delicious!! The staff are amazing, and coped with the packed restaurant with ease - there were no mistakes with our orders, and everything was delivered efficiently and on time.

What a lovely restaurant. We dined downstairs in what I presumecwere the old cellars. Great ambience, and the staff were so welcoming. The food was delicious, superbly cooked. If you're ever in Doncaster, look this restaurant out. You will not be disappointed

We really enjoyed our ninth wedding anniversary meal. Lovely welcome, good range of drinks/cocktails and the food was fab too. Particularly appreciated the excellent service which was attentive without being intrusive. We had an antipasto shared starter and my wife's carbonara was 'the best I've ever eaten'! My chicken breast strips with tomato/crab sauce was also excellent. We shall return!

We had a nice meal, nice food, good company. I found the space a little bit loud at times. I was also a bit unsure how to handle the "suggested" service charge on the bill, optional, but then there added to the total, felt bounced. However, overall, good especially the food.
