Excellent weekly tuition initially securing basic skills and moving on to higher level maths. engaging lessons where our son gained the confidence to risk take and believe that he could succeed with strategies clearly explained and modelled. angie has high expectations and a nurturing manner that even through lockdown had our son eager to participate in his lessons. homework set after each lesson was pitched well to either consolidate or deepen learning. weekly progress reports were sent to ensure that we knew exactly what he had been working on and keep us thoroughly updated on his progress and next steps. we cannot recommend angie enough and can’t wait for her to start tutoring our younger son. this really has been a positive experience. thank you x
Angie has been amazing for my son , he really struggled to motivate himself through lock down and home learning, this resulting in low grades and a loss of interest in maths . after a couple of sessions with angie we saw his motivation , confidence and his love of maths return this time resulting in significantly improved assessment results . i would highly recommend angie and her communication is excellent .
I’m writing this review to express my extreme gratitude to angela for the fantastic results that my two daughters have achieved under her tutelage over the past 10 months (since november 2021). my eldest began working with angela at the start of her final year of gcses. she was delighted to go on to achieve an 8, which was above her target grade. whilst she had always enjoyed maths, angela’s expert approach changed my daughter’s engagement with the subject, to the extent that she has decided to continue her maths studies into a-level. my youngest daughter was never previously interested in maths, but decided to try sessions with angela at the time that her sister signed up. now, thanks to angela’s passion, enthusiasm and calm way of tutoring, maths has become her favourite subject; she has moved into the top set for the first time (coinciding perfectly with the start of her gcses) and is already receiving achievement credits in the subject (with a new target 8/9). both girls love working with angela, and have chosen to continue under angela’s fantastic guidance and inspiration. i could not thank angela enough. i highly recommend her services. david mcwilliams
Angie is just amazing! not only is she a maths genius, but she completely understands and can relate to her students. within only a couple of sessions she had successfully rekindled my son’s motivation for his a-level maths. covid and lockdowns had stolen much of his drive previously. angie’s encouragement, enthusiasm and very focussed approach worked wonders for embedding his understanding. she took the time to go through completed homework assignments and every lesson was then tailored specifically to areas which required additional support. as a parent it was lovely to read the feedback and see the progress shared from each session. i would recommend angie without hesitation.
My daughter grace started having weekly sessions with angie in her final year of gcse's. the progress and confidence gained was invaluable, which resulted in her going from a predicated grade 3 to achieving a fantastic grade 5, the highest she could gain on the lower tier paper. grace really enjoyed her lessons with angie and this showed in her commitment to succeeding 😊
