Vets Now Doncaster

Late on sunday evening (around 2330-ish 24th, bank hol weekend) our beautiful, crazy 13 yr old english bull terrier became very unwell. we knew we couldn't leave her in her obvious discomfort or pain until the morning, just in the hope that our vet would consider seeing her, so we contacted the emergency vet number which was the doncaster branch of vets now. we took her to the branch and we, under the current social distancing measures, waited outside until the vet was ready to see us. he came out, we explained everything and it was clear, whilst we knew in our hearts what the outcome was going to be, we had to make that decision😔 in short, we are heartbroken but the vet was amazing! he told us that we couldn't be with her in the practice, but he could clearly see our distress and so kindly offered to put her to sleep on her bedding in the boot of our car, whilst my husband held her. because of his kindness and compassion we had a truly personal farewell with our beloved mae and we will, when the grief eases, be able to look back at her fantastic life with fond memories from the day we picked her up, all those years ago, to her final moment knowing that nothing could've been any better for our little lady or us. she is now home and buried in the garden that she enjoyed for all of her 13 yrs. so, a huge thankyou to the kind, thoughtful vet who did this for us (i will find out his name) because we don't even feel that our vet, who has known and cared for her all of her life, could've been any more compassionate than this lovely stranger was! so, vets now- doncaster......please accept our heartfelt gratitude for your wonderful service, especially during these difficult times ⭐️🌈

Bloo was unwell. i felt quite relieved that he was in good hands. anna was wonderful and kept me informed on how he was doing.

What was a very worrying time, the staff were very calm and helped me through a difficult time. they rushed us through, as an emergency. we were quickly informed of the injury, via x-ray, we were informed at all times, on how jake was doing , while in the vets. their care for us all went above and beyond care. 100% satisfaction .
