Village Gym Dudley

The gym area is fantastic, the members are sensible ,helpful and good to be around, as all gyms you get the oddball who thinks he's tenmen, but they keep themselves to themselves...the facilities are great, but the management are so one sided, Once you have joined you get no rewards ,benefits or leeway in any decision..if you wish to leave they force a 3month payment before they allow you to leave, if not they get firms in to recapture "their" money, people I know who left have had this forced on them... ..They give priority to the women members, when alterations happened the women had the mens room while their dressing rooms were altered and then, when complete had their own when the mens were done, the men had to change in the family room,the whole time which is so small with 2 showers if I remember right..and it's an awful cramped experience...once again alterations are happening and the same rigmarole is happening. Currently the pool area is being refurbished, but people who use the pool as their exercise have no alternate means but to freeze their membership, which costs a tenner, or as they say ,"use walsall", What a poor alternative....when you talk to staff about the change you can tell they have been briefed to tow the line, they are great people, who help us everyday, but management are allegedly ruthless with them....Once they got you as a member you get nothing...e.g, at Xmas special deals ,cheap membership etc never gets passed to the current members..its a joke...the reason why we stay? Because the members make it worthwhile and purposeful..

As a pensioner, I found the staff friendly and helpful, the equipment excellent plus the added value of a decent pool and sauna. I've yet to try any classes but my first impressions are very positive!

Staff are friendly, plenty of classes to choose from and the pool is warm most of the time. But the jacuzzi can be a bit too hot at times. Gym equipment is great. Facilities are clean and well kept. Would recommend.

Visited as a guest of a full member, the gym was clean and well presented. Staff on the front desk were very helpful. The gym was well laid out and the staff were friendly and attentive. Machines were clean and in good working order. Parking was good. An hour well spent. 👍
