Attended the armed forces day and craft fair with a friend. arrived early to set up. the day was superb plenty of things for families to see and do. the weather was warm and sunny with only a slight drizzle. the event was all set in the many acres of himley hall.
Beautiful site with loads of walks around the grounds, lakes and surrounding wood/park. the house itself is lovely and often hosts antique or craft fairs. you do have to pay for parking and entry to the house. there is an indoor cafe and and outdoor cafe nearer the park. lovely choice at both.
Visited today and had a lovely walk around the park - such a nice park to visit. fed the geese and ducks some healthy rocket! used the cafe - the flapjacks were a bit pricey for the size! but were delicious. toilets were very clean.
Really nice place, relaxing and lots to look at. nice for a walk and to sit by water. there is a waterfall too and a trail that leads to the baggeridge. the cafe coffee was really nice, staff friendly in the cafe. x
I went to the classic motors how here. the gardens are amazing and the lake/pond is nice as well. on the day i went, the sun was blazing, which, is always nice. but there wasn't really any shade from the sun. you can see all kinds of vehicles here for £7.50 including parking. its a bargain, i try and go every year.
