Hetland Hall Hotel

We had the afternoon tea. Great atmosphere in a superb setting, tea was well presented and surprisingly filling. Staff were obviously busy with a wedding but were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely return, thank you

I recently stayed at Hetland Hall Hotel in Dumfries, Scotland, and overall, I found the hotel quite impressive. However, I opted for an upgraded room and felt it wasn't worth the extra cost, particularly because my window view was obstructed by a wall. On the bright side, the bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and the room was immaculately clean, albeit with a slightly odd layout making it inconvenient to view the TV from the bed, which was wall-mounted on the side of the room. In terms of dining, the food menu was reasonably priced, but I wasn't completely satisfied with the fish and chips I ordered; the peas seemed a bit dried up. Nonetheless, the staff at the reception were welcoming and friendly, and the service in the restaurant was prompt and pleasant. Despite the minor inconveniences, I would recommend Hetland Hall Hotel over the corporate competition due to its overall positive attributes.

We enjoyed our stay was out third time and didn't disappoint... The room was spotlessly clean food amazing and the grounds really lovely.... A nice place to come and chill.... Lovely view from the windows also.... Would highly recommend 💞

Great hotel in convenient location for stopping off when travelling to/from Scotland or N Ireland ferries. Modern decor & comfortable rooms, friendly staff & generally very good service. I stayed 4 nights & very much enjoyed it; I knocked off one star (it would have been half-star if I could!) because I found some of the food a bit salty for my taste, though otherwise very good quality & well-cooked.

Spent two nights here for my partners birthday and we have nothing but good things to say about this place! On arrival we were given an upgrade to room 104 and it was stunning with beautiful views across the solway firth. There was also a birthday platter waiting in the room which was so nice. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and all the staff were lovely. Stunning hotel, wonderful stay! Can't wait to return one day.
