The food is indeed aa 3 stars and absolutely delicious. the rustic romantic restaurant and pub has a fishing theme running. if you look carefully you will notice that there are fishing rods mounted to the ceiling. booking a table is recommended. after 7pm it got quickly quite busy.
So lucky to have this pub as our local! excellent choice of real ales that change regularly. warm and inviting with friendly staff. known by all in the area to be one of the best places to eat and agree.
Absolutely first class restaurant. we have heard a lot of good things about this place and it exceeded expectations. brilliant service, thoughtful and never intrusive. excited by the menu and each course both looked and tasted wonderful. the cheese board was excellent! the only thing which could be improved upon was the wine selection, just a bit bland and simple, but i'm splitting hairs! would highly recommend and we can't wait to return.
Visited for sunday lunch and it was an amazing experience! the restaurant and the bar have a lovely atmosphere. the open fireplaces make it feel cosy and warm. the staff were really friendly and helpful and the service was great. the menu was up on the board and the choice of food was great! we enjoyed absolutely delicious food and we will certainly be back! the quality of the food is truly outstanding. highly recommend!
Amazing spot. tranquil pub with quality ale on offer. restaurant serves top-notch food. staff were super friendly. lovely rooms complete with gun locker if that's your thing. some are even dog friendly. i imagine you need to request one when booking. would recommend booking a table for food to avoid disappointment. restaurant is generally busy.
