Two of the best tour guides i have ever had. their knowledge of scotland is amazing. if a customized tour is what you are looking for with the true history of scotland then you have found the people to give you that experience.

Mark and lesley are absolutely the best! we had the honor of being their first tour of 2020 and they took our group of 4 through bannockburn, stirling and falkirk. they are both incredibly friendly and easygoing, but also professional, infinitely knowledgable and very accommodating. they immediately felt like old friends. we can't recommend them highly enough - they really added something special to our first visit to beautiful scotland.

We feel lucky to have spent the day with mark at the stirling sites. it was a mini-crash course in scottish history from a talented and engaging teacher. we're glad we listened to his recommendations about where to go, and i only wish we could have had longer. this was a truly fantastic tour.

This is the most amazing tour company in scotland. two historians who are willing to make your experience in scotland very memorable. their private tours are tailored specifically for you. going to scotland was on my bucket list after a terrible bout with ovarian cancer. mark and leslie of solway tours made my experience so wonderful that scotland is my favorite place in the world. i highly recommend them to anyone traveling to scotland.

Absolutely a wonderful day with leslie! i had sent her all my mclellan research and she plotted things out and even added a few more surprises..my husband was overwhelmed by the whole experience including lunch at a local cafe!..we took bus and train from glasgow to dumfries and taxi to kirkcudbright..even during train strike! would highly recommend solway and leslie and thank her for the experience
